Subject:	can't install djgpp !!!

I don't know what happened but the body of my previous message disappeared..
When I try to compile any program I get the following message :
gcc : bad command or file name.
I do have the gcc exe and all other stuff that's necessary and I think I 
installed djgpp according to the readme file .
I tried  to compile sample programs with ndmake and the same error occurred.
Before the bad command or file name error is printed I often get some
warning messages so it looks like gcc at least attempts to compile a program
Any help will be appreciated
