Problem is, code being ported to djgcc may originate in DOS or Unix, and may
need to remain compatible with the original environment. (Djgcc code can't
run on a 286, so I have code which is compilable by either djgcc or Borland
C.) DOS code may scan for a ':', and break if it doesn't find one (it
happended to me).
