The pre-1.09 stub does not issue any error message if GO32 is missing, so 
if you have a 1.08 or earlier stub you really ought to re-stub your images.
I think exe2aout and aout2exe pair should do it.  But of course, this is
the sort of thing that stub was supposed to prevent having to do! :-)
