If you use emm386.exe (DOS 6 had probably installed it for you),
you must edit config.sys and change the proper device= line to
something like this:
device = c:\dos\emm386.exe i=c800-efff m9 ram
emm386.exe from DOS 6 seems to have some problems during its setup,
this prevents it from supporting UMBs, EMM and VCPI at the same time.
The line above should work for most standard configurations - no network,
no SCSI BIOS. m9 forces EMS support, ram forces UMBs.
