> I'm confused. What the heck is go32.com for, as opposed to go32.exe??
It's a version of my go32 that's been modified to support DPMI
(exclusively, I think). It has the following disadvantages:
1. It assumes that DOS will use .com files before .exe files. I wish
it were called go32dpmi.exe instead of go32.com, but I had no say in
the matter.
2. I think it expects to call go32.exe if there isn't any DPMI server.
I wish the DPMI code were merged in to the official go32, but I had
no say in the matter.
3. Nobody posted any diffs so that others could recreate the binary,
especially me. The first I heard of it was when they announced the
location of the binary. Since they're not the only ones working on
DPMI support, they got all the other workers upset. I wish they had
cooperated with the rest of us, but I had no say in the matter.
