From my somewhat fuzzy understanding of DOS internals:
To run in 32b mode under DOS a program must access an "extender" that
provides access to the rest of the machine. The demacs go32 is just such an
animal. Now Windows has it's onw built in "extender". The one that it uses
is incompatable with the DEMACS one. There are verious standards for
extenders that specify the interfaces.
Now there is an extender that works under windows 3.0. Included at the end
of the note is the message that was posted:
