The proposal for go32 version 2 sounds very interesting butI am concerned
about compatibility with programs compiled for version 1. Assuming that
there will be substantial compatibility problems, would it make sense to
have the new stub call something other than go32, perhaps using an
environment variable. In this way old programs could still be used with
the old extender and the new stub would use the new version of go32xx. A
related problem currently exists with the vesa version of go32 since a 
modified version of go32 is required. Although this version should work
with existing programs, it would be nice to specify which go32 to use here
also. Official (DJ) vesa support would be a welcome addition in go32
version 1.10.
