Subject:	sorry, still exception 117

During the past days I have come across two situations where the asin()
function was causing trouble and the 117 exception appeared in two disguises:

illegal operation  
        and
stack underflow

In the first case it was obvious that the caller was supplying wrong
arguments (< -1.0 or > 1.0), but what might be the cause when the
stack underflows? I assume this is the fp stack of the FPU, right?
