This seems to be a candidate for the most FA FAQ. ndmake was an excellent
make from Kneller. I was a registered user. It was later released as the
commercial package Opus Make. Get ndmake 4.5 from simtel20.army.mil in
pd1:<msdos.c>.
GNUish make 3.58 is in pd1:<msdos.gnuish>. Some have reported problems
getting GNUish make to work with djgpp.
In my opinion, you should get dmake 3.8 from pd1:<msdos.c>. It runs
under OS/2 and msdos (extra features under OS/2), and it is fairly
compatible with GNU make.
