The STB PowerGraph series in particular has some differences at that
particular resolution.  I have had problems with using VESA modes,
mode 0x6a does seem to work (this was a mono application, so I don't
know about visual depth etc).
    You might try checking the documentation that comes with the VPic
shareware GIF and other graphics viewer, or the .CFG files for Tseng4k
vs. STB*.  I know that that viewer distinguishes the two, and
correctly, on my STB card.
