Subject: Three unrelated questions about djgpp

1) The README.1ST file says that there have been actual cases of
the use of the product resulting in the total destruction of users' hard
disks. Is this really true? Is it cause for concern?
(I suppose one could write a program in any language that would format
the hard disk, by making the appropriate INT 13 calls, so in that sense
use of the product destroyed the hard disk...)

2) Suppose you are running on a 486. Suppose further that you have,
stupidly, set the GO32 variable "emu" option, to point to the EMU387 file.
Will DJGPP (& DJGPP compiled programs) use the chip or the emulator in
this case?

3) What is the current version # of DJGPP? As far as I can tell, the
version on grape.ecs.clarkson.edu is 1.07. However, I had heard that
there was a 1.08. Is the current version DV/X compatible?

Thank you.
