DV/X gives you the ability to run a local X-server on your PC *plus*
X-clients like xterm, xclock locally. It turns your PC in some kind of
workstation with the said feature of locally running clients simultaneously.
Of cource it allows you to build your own X-clients. I believe there
is a development version needed to do that, though - but, OTOH, this
is for Motif apps only.
Look and feel is Motif.
