What you need is: gas-doc.tar.Z available at many archive sites. I got mine from
archive.cis.ohio-state.edu (128.146.8.52) in /pub/gnu/gas. The file contains:
a386.texinfo - describes difference between Intel & AT&T syntax
gas.texinfo - general referance for using gas
texinfo.tex - macros for building above
Note that you will need makeinfo & info (reader) or demacs for online referance
and some variant of TeX for hardcopy.
