Please excuse my ignorance if this has already been dicussed. I'd
like to use GCC to develop windows programs. I know of two problems:
1) go32 is incomatiple with windows memory management, and 2) no
window libraries. I have questions.
For 1):
Does windows have a fundamentally different memory model that is
incompatible? I know you can turn on "Enhanced 386 mode". Is the
problem that it can't be done, or is it that it just hasn't? Where
would I go for docs on Windows memory models?
For 2):
I have zero experience with Windows, but do know SunView and Motif.
Is it impossible to do windows work without a library? Is the library
just a wrapper around some system call?
