Subject: | Why doesn't djgpp recompile itself? |

>This may seem real stupid, but I know that djgpp was written using >Turbo C....but why hasn't it been written and recompiled using it >self...or has this been done and I'm just not catching this? Because gcc can't produce 16-bit code. RMS would like gcc 2.0 to be ported to 8086 16-bit mode so that this recompile is possible. Personally, I don't feel like teaching gcc about segment registers.
