I'm a little reluctant to release 1.3.4 without Corinna's stabilizing
presence but if no one has any objections, I'll probably do this in
the next couple of days.

I just tracked down a tricky memory allocation bug in environ that was
only exercised by certain environment layouts.  The configure
--enable-malloc-debug option was invaluable in debugging the problem.
I'm glad that Egor made it so easy to use this.

One last addition might be the inclusion of Karellen's syslog patch.

I would like to get confirmation that raw devices still work, though.
