So it would be now big deal to use the numbering
scheme 1.1.y with consecutive y for the releases and
1.1.(y+1)-YYYYMMDD for the next snapshots in between.
All what is needed is already in the DLL version info.

This is (ah, yes, IMO) the easiest way. The "normal"
users get a simple numbering scheme. The developers
have exactly the needed info. Who want's to get more?
