Geoffrey,

fyi, I needed to make a small changes for pathnames to come out correctly
(basically, turn all the back to forward slashes after the win32 path
conversion). Now that your patch is in the egcs mainline, I'll just submit
the change and copy you as well.

Also, all my changes to egcs-1.1.1 are archived at:
  ftp://ftp.xraylith.wisc.edu/pub/khan/cygwin/egcs-1.1.1/patches/
