I've noticed that cygwin is giving me a lot of "closing protected handle" messages when telnetting to my windows system. This is due to the recent changes in calling close_all_files and my change to stop duplicating handles in a close-on-exec situation. The warnings are, I think, bogus but fixing them will be hard. Just in case anyone had noticed this... cgf
