IMO, you should address the problem which affects the largest number of users. We have not had a single complaint that I am aware of with the Cygwin CD, which puts the cygwin tools first in the path, like many other windows utilities. On the other hand, when the cygwin binaries are not first in the path we consistently have people who complain because "find' doesn't work or "ls" doesn't work (when they have a non-cygwin version of "ls"). When someone installs the cygwin environment they will undoubtedly expect the tools to work. That is the primary concern. cgf
