I tried this on two different systems and was able to configure ncurses-5.0
with no problem.
I'm using Mumit's latest gcc 2.95.2 and binutils as well as the very latest
cygwin DLL.
If you can get something to hang consistently, then possibly running strace
will help you figure out where. You can also attach to a hung process if
you have the latest version of gdb for cygwin.
