With the latest patches from Corinna, I'm seeing basically good
behavior with the latest snapshots but now I am running into problems
with running configure on my NT system.  Although I have admin privs,
I get some permission denied errors I never had before.

One error message:

	0 0 [main] E:\bin\sh.exe 1965 fhandler_base::fork_fixup:
move-if-change - error 6, handle 0x20

I also see in the configure output:

	chmod: ./config.new: Permission denied

So it looks like there is still some stuff to look into...
