If I understand what you're saying, you're proposing that
any filename created by cygwin be prepended by a bunch of
special characters? That would completely break compatibility
with other non-cygwin packages. I don't think we want to
do that.
Or are you suggesting that these filenames be created in
addition to regular filenames?
