The ECC team have an urgent requirement to automatically create the /tmp directory required by Cygwin32 during their installation process. It appears that Cygwin32 always looks for /tmp in the root of the logical drive containing the Windows installation (usually drive C:). Am I correct? Is there a reason why Cygwin32 does not automatically create /tmp during installation? John Dallaway
