Gulp. Yes, I can resend it. I was spending some time today (in between
a rash of customer support calls) to make sure that I had gotten the
"CYGWIN_TITLE" stuff working correctly. Sergey had some problems with my
last submission.
Unfortunately I don't think that it will patch cleanly over Sergey's
changes to fork. I'll download the snapshot soon and see.
I also have a patch that fixes, sorta, a problem I reported
with Ian's recent tty changes. It makes the setting of "CYGWIN_TTY"
permanent in all subprocesses even if the environment variable is unset.
This relieves some confusion that is notable (if not entirely understandable)
when less is run in a shell that was started with CYGWIN_TTY set initially
but subsequently cleared. I had originally attempted to implement this
using a "sticky" setting in the CYGWIN32 environment variable but eventually
settled on a PID_USETTY setting which is propagated to all subprocesses.
I've also got a small change to console.cc which adds xterm style
setting of the console title bar via an escape sequence. People on the
mailing list have asked for this and it is localized to console.cc.
People use it to display the current directory on the title bar.
It is obviously not a crucial change, but it could be a nice additional
advertisement for B19.
