Interest here as well,

one question though, could pico be packaged up as a seperate package and 
pine be made to depend on it? (not that anyone would want pico when theres 
nano *cough* :P)

Gareth - the definitely not biased nano maintainer (who will release a new 
version ... soon ... really)
