ok, then I see the difficulty with the current setup layout.

Maybe then it's worth refusing from step-by-step windows, but instead 
one Explorer-like window, with possible options in the left pane, 
perhaps the server URL on the top, and the list of packages as the main 
pane, and a big "GO" button.
And! the log messages indicating all the progress in the window's bottom!

just a dreamer, I've got neither resources nor skills for contributing 
in this... last time I programmed Windows in 1995 or something...
