Assuming that you're using the mintty window to run bash, or another
shell, you can include a command in your init script (e.g. .bash_rc)
to change the priority using 'renice':
renice -n <priorityChange> --pid $PPID
negative values of 'priorityChange' increase priority up to a maximum
of -20 which Windows 10 reports as "realtime"
