Subject: CYGWIN_NT-6.1 2.10.0(0.325/5/3) (x86_64) --- Mutt 1.10.0 (2018-05-17)

Note-from-DJ: This may be spam

The brief version is:

OUR ~/.mutt/muttrc ...

set folder      = imap://imap.server.com
set imap_user   = user AT domain DOT xyz
set imap_pass   = <pa55w0rd
set spoolfile   = imap://imap.server.com/Inbox
mailboxes       = +Inbox

Using the above, after we start mutt we are unable to resolve the following:

/var/spool/mail/IGT: No such file or directory (errno = 2)

We have searched every mutt config file within this cygwin installation
--we are unable to find where this is set/specified. Then we issued the
following:

Mutt -v
Mutt 1.10.0 (2018-05-17)
System: CYGWIN_NT-6.1 2.10.0(0.325/5/3) (x86_64)
SENDMAIL="/usr/sbin/sendmail" <-- we are not using SendMail
MAILPATH="/var/spool/mail" <-- we believe this is the culprit causing
our issue; shown below

In a feeble attempt to resolve this:
set MAILPATH    = imap://imap.server.com/Inbox <-- was added to the
above ~/.mutt/.muttrc. This did not help one bit, other than let us know
this too, does not work.

We need serious help. The windows mail clients are not up-to-speed
beyond basic sending and receiving of unfiltered emails.
