Dear All, In November 2016 I tried several times to install Cygwin 2.6.0 from the official cite setup-x86_64.exe form various mirrors. Installation always ended with an error:Package: _/x3270 x3270.sh exit code 1 I am using windows 10 on a Dell Laptop XPS 15. When I tried startx from mintty, it always crashes. When i tried xinit it works, but the terminals and other windows such as for xmgrace, are fixed in size and cannot be moved. What should I do? This is what I am getting: xauth: file /home/buldyrev/.Xauthority does not exist xauth: file /home/buldyrev/.Xauthority does not exist Welcome to the XWin X Server Vendor: The Cygwin/X Project Release: 1.18.4.0 OS: CYGWIN_NT-10.0 DESKTOP-THTRC56 2.6.0(0.304/5/3) 2016-08-31 14:32 x86_64 OS: Windows 10 [Windows NT 10.0 build 14393] (Win64) Package: version 1.18.4-1 built 2016-07-22 XWin was started with the following command line: /usr/bin/X :0 -auth /home/buldyrev/.serverauth.5940 (II) xorg.conf is not supported (II) See http://x.cygwin.com/docs/faq/cygwin-x-faq.html for more information LoadPreferences: /home/buldyrev/.XWinrc not found LoadPreferences: Loading /etc/X11/system.XWinrc LoadPreferences: Done parsing the configuration file... winDetectSupportedEngines - RemoteSession: no winDetectSupportedEngines - DirectDraw4 installed, allowing ShadowDDNL winDetectSupportedEngines - Returning, supported engines 00000005 winSetEngine - Using Shadow DirectDraw NonLocking winScreenInit - Using Windows display depth of 32 bits per pixel winWindowProc - WM_SIZE - new client area w: 1902 h: 983 winFinishScreenInitFB - Masks: 00ff0000 0000ff00 000000ff MIT-SHM extension disabled due to lack of kernel support XFree86-Bigfont extension local-client optimization disabled due to lack of shar ed memory support in the kernel (EE) AIGLX: No native OpenGL in modes with a root window (II) AIGLX: enabled GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer (II) AIGLX: Loaded and initialized swrast (II) GLX: Initialized DRISWRAST GL provider for screen 0 winPointerWarpCursor - Discarding first warp: 951 491 (--) 16 mouse buttons found (--) Setting autorepeat to delay=500, rate=31 (--) Windows keyboard layout: "00000409" (00000409) "US", type 4 (--) Found matching XKB configuration "English (USA)" (--) Model = "pc105" Layout = "us" Variant = "none" Options = "none" Rules = "base" Model = "pc105" Layout = "us" Variant = "none" Options = "none" winProcEstablishConnection - winInitClipboard returned. winClipboardThreadProc - DISPLAY=:0.0 OS maintains clipboard viewer chain: yes OS maintains clipboard viewer chain: yes winClipboardProc - XOpenDisplay () returned and successfully opened the display. touch: cannot touch '/home/buldyrev/.cache/imsettings/log': No such file or dire ctory gnome-session-is-accelerated: llvmpipe detected. gnome-session-binary: PID 7640: WARNING: Using null backend for session tracking ** (gnome-session-quit:404): WARNING **: Failed to call logout: GDBus.Error:org. gnome.SessionManager.NotInRunning: Logout interface is only available during the Running phase xinit: connection to X server lost waiting for X server to shut down winClipboardProc - winClipboardFlushWindowsMes sageQueue trapped WM_QUIT message, exiting main loop. winClipboardProc - XDestroyWindow succeeded. winDeinitMultiWindowWM - Noting shutdown in progress (II) Server terminated successfully (0).
