It look like those links are created by /etc/postinstall/base-files-mketc.sh. You could try just removing /etc/hosts, /etc/protocols, /etc/services, and /etc/networks, being careful to delete the symlink and not the target, and then re-run /etc/postinstall/base-files-mketc.sh.done.
