There seems to be a problem, at least on my machine:

$ g++
-bash: /usr/bin/g++: cannot execute binary file
$ which g++
/usr/bin/g++
$ /usr/bin/g++
-bash: /usr/bin/g++: cannot execute binary file
$ file /usr/bin/g++
/usr/bin/g++: PE32+ executable (console) x86-64 (stripped to external 
PDB), for MS Windows
$ ldd /usr/bin/g++
ldd: /usr/bin/g++: Exec format error
$ ldd /usr/bin/g++.exe
ldd: /usr/bin/g++.exe: Exec format error
