Thanks for any help guys and gals. First, welcome. :-) There is a mailing list dedicated to Cygwin/X-specific issues. You may have better luck there. To see its and other Cygwin list charters, go to <http://cygwin.com/lists.html>. Also the Cygwin/X main page may have some useful information for you. I direct your attention to the announcement there for users upgrading from monolithic X (which includes you :-) ). See the link below: <http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-xfree-announce/2008-11/msg00000.html> I'd recommend when reporting your problem on the Cygwin/X list, you follow the problem reporting guidelines for Cygwin found here: <http://cygwin.com/problems.html> It probably also makes sense to include '/var/log/xwin/XWin.0.log' from your problematic session. -- Larry _____________________________________________________________________ A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting annoying in email? -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
