I have just gone through the install with internet download using the latest cygwin windows installer, on my 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7. I assume that I've only gotten 32 bit software, which is not my issue. I am trying to compile my first java program, gcj Program.java --main=Program -o Program.exe and I find that I only get the errror message: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.batch.GCCMain at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.batch.GCCMain not found in gnu.gcj.runtime.SystemClassLoader{urls=[], parent=gnu.gcj.runtime.ExtensionClassLoader{urls=[], parent=null}} at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at gnu.java.lang.MainThread.run(Unknown Source) Has there been a corrupted installation or download? Should I just reinstall cygwin from the start? Or is there something simple I should do? -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
