Why more vagueness of course. Otherwise you might be seen as being 
directly helpful and we wouldn't want that! (For the sarcasm impaired :-))

Then your being dense or dishonest. People get confused. You can help by 
explaining things instead of just pointing.

I know how to fish already. Would it kill you to be nice and say 
something like "No it has to be one line. You must be using the wrong 
key"??? You really should work on your people skills. I sure I'm not the 
first to mention this.

My confusion stems from people not communicating fully and clearly. It 
comes from people saying "save the public key" and then not being 
exactly clear which public key to save (apparently there are multiple 
ones and of different formats) nor saying exactly what to do with it. 
It's why I asked for clear and complete step by step instructions. Being 
terse is not a remedy for miscommunication and vagueness. It's the exact 
opposite.

Well for one, I don't know any nor do I know where they hang out - I 
don't use putty. Secondly I figured some people here may have come 
across this and know the remedy. Thirdly, being as this is two different 
products coming together, they could as easily said "why don't you ask 
the Cygwin guys".

Look I'm just looking for a solution - not grief. These are not tools 
that I choose - they are other people's tools (well putty is) and I'm 
trying to help them. Why not be helpful too?
