I'm not sure if the 20111214 snapshot was supposed to address this
issue, but I'm continuing to experience the issue as well:

csutclif AT bmotec3017201lt:[~] $ uname -a

csutclif AT bmotec3017201lt:[/usr/src/vim] $ make -j4
Starting make in the src directory.
If there are problems, cd to the src directory and run make there
cd src && make first
