I've attempted chmod from the terminal and to change the permissions
through the standard UI. I've attempted to chown to "SYSTEM", but the
user does not exist. Here ar e the permission settings for the
/var/empty folder:
bash-4.1$ getfacl empty
# file: empty
# owner: Administrator
# group: mkpasswd
user::rwx
group::r-x
mask:rwx
other:r-x
default:user::rwx
default:user:Administrator:rwx
default:group::r-x
default:mask:rwx
default:other:r-x
