Does it recognize the drive as "netapp" or does it recognize it as "cifs"? I assume the latter. If you're ok with testing a DLL, I'd send you a PM with a web site where you can download a Cygwin test DLL. I'd need feedback ASAP, otherwise the change will not be in 1.7.2.
