Okay.  Puppet is configuration management software.  It allows a LAN
administrator to specify sets of files, sofware packages, services, cron jobs,
and so on, and the relationships between them, and to automatically deploy the
configurations to hosts under his or her control.

Puppet is open source and written in Ruby.  Home page is
