  Oh, I missed that!  "Cygwin" has come to mean "cygwin 1.7" for me; these
days I find it increasingly hard to even remember that such a thing as 1.5
ever existed...

  Thomas, yes: CGF is undoubtedly right about the 1.5 DLL.
