I have updated the version of vim for Cygwin 1.7 to 7.2.264-1.
This is an update to the latest upstream patchlevel 264. Cygwin Vim
builds from the vanilla sources.
This version also starts using the alternatives system, together with
the gvim package. The non-graphical vim executable is now called
"vim-nox", and the various symlinks, including "vim" point to vim-nox by
default. If you also install the upcoming gvim-7.2.264-1 package, or
just the gvim package alone, all the symlinks except "vi" and "ex" will
point to gvim.
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Then, run setup and answer all of the questions.
