I have also tried the rsync transfer from safe mode which makes a BLODA issue highly unlikely and then from a clean 1.7 install after renaming my existing install folder. Rsync and ssh both max out a processor core each for the transfer and it still goes much slower than it should. Should I test a 1.5 install to see if it's a regression with 1.7 and 64 bit Vista?
