Well, we give you a MinGW cross-compiler in the -mno-cygwin mode of gcc ...
but we don't support MinGW programs that you write with it!

Talk to the MinGW guys, but the answer could be as simple as adding
#if defined (__GNUC__) && !defined (__OPTIMIZE__)
#define ffs(x) __builtin_ffs ((x))
#endif
... to some appropriate header file.
