Yeah, urxvt is rather a beast, actually. The upstream guys actually 
recommend that distributions ship two *different* versions of their 
product: a minimal version and an all-singing-all-dancing version. I 
didn't do that; instead I shipped a middle-of-the-road version. It seems 
to do the trick for most users, but...
