Yes it will start at boot time (if and only if you answered yes when=20
cron-config asked you "Do you want to install the cron daemon as a=20
service?"), you can check it in many ways:

- Running: cygrunsrv -Q cron
- Opening My Computer -> Manage -> Services and Applications -> Services

Cron under Cygwin is very close to the one usually distributed with=20
Linux.  I think the man page has all the information you requested, even=20
some you didn't but should know to avoid mistakes like putting a file=20
under /var/cron/tabs; the top of the man page tells you that crontab is=20
the tool you should use, the alternative (inherited from Linux) is to=20
use /etc/cron.d/ .
