	Windows doesn't set "HOME"....at least not by default.

	What makes you think it is setting 'HOME'?

	Goto control-panel->System, Advanced, and click on
Environment vars...you see 'HOME' there in the ENV tabs for
System or User variables?  Cuz I don't.

	Perhaps it's your cygwin startup?
