I have updated cygrunsrv to version 1.30-1.
This release introduces the capability to connect to remote servers to
install, start, stop, remove, query, and list services. The usage is
quite simple. Use for instance
$ cygrunsrv -S service
to start a local service called "service". Use
$ cygrunsrv -S server/service
or
$ cygrunsrv -S server\\service
to stop a remote service called "service" on the remote machine called
"server". The server syntax allows to use full qualified domain names
like, for instance
$ cygrunsrv -S server.example.com/service
This syntax is valid for the following options:
-I, --install
-R, --remove
-S, --start
-E, --stop
-Q, --query
The -L, --list option allows to specify just a server name, like, for
instance, this:
$ cygrunsrv -L server -V
$ cygrunsrv -L server.example.com -V
If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin
mailing list at: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com . I would appreciate if you would
use this mailing list rather than emailing me directly. This includes
ideas and comments about the setup utility or Cygwin in general.
If you want to make a point or ask a question the Cygwin mailing list is
the appropriate place.
