How bizarre, your mount table seems to have a couple of oddly-mangled
entries in it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2\/tmp
  (default) = 'E:\Temp'
  flags = 0x00000002
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\Program Options
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus
Solutions
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus
Solutions\Cygwin
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus
Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2
  (default) = ''

 = 0x322e000e
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2
  (default) = ''

I don't think they're likely to be causing any problems, but it might be
worth trying to fix (perhaps by running 'mount -m', editing any unusual ascii
codes out of the result, 'umount'ing everything and then running the mount -m
script) anyway.

  They certainly aren't! :)

Ouch. How do you feel about temporarily uninstalling and reinstalling ZA in
order to see if it's interfering with cygwin? It's been a known source of
problems in the past; in particular, the full pro version (which has more
features and installs more hooks into the O/S) seems to cause problems quite
commonly, where the free version (which is firewall-only) hardly ever if at
all causes trouble.

On the other hand, un-and-re-installing it is a bit of a PITA, and
unfortunately, it's not possible to tell easily whether it will help or not
(just temporarily disabling or shutting down ZA is normally not sufficient to
stop it interfering, the DLLs and drivers it installs have to actually be
deinstalled from the system), so you might want to see if any other
suggestions work first before you take the drastic course of action.

    cheers,
      DaveK
