Thinking more of the involved upgrade path, I'll upload an improved 
version -2 on the weekend, which will include the old site_perl 
non-archlib path to @INC. This is similar to other distributions.
This is not as clean, but only binary modules will have to be recompiled.

     /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10/cygwin
