Hello all, I am trying to run the following command using cygwin on a remote node using ssh. /bin/sh -c 'echo Number=\"1234567\" >> /tmp/file1' The command executes successfully but the file has content Number=1234567(double quotes missing) instead of Number="1234567". The same command works as expected when i run it from red hat Linux. Any idea on why this is happening. thanks, Prakash 5, 50, 500, 5000 - Store N number of mails in your inbox.
